Smoothie Round-Up

We’ve posted quite a few smoothie recipes since we first started our FitNut Instagram page. Below is a round-up of 10 different smoothie recipes for you to try and have easier access to!

Note:

  • We generally like using frozen fruits or adding some ice to the blender!
  • Superfoods are optional but GREAT to have

 

Green Superfood Protein Smoothie

  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder
  • 1 scoop chocolate superfood powder by Amazing Grass
  • 1 tbsp almond butter
  • 2 dates or sweetener of choice – you may also sweeten with fresh fruit such as banana or blueberries

 

Strawberry Coconut Smoothie with Almond Butter

  • 1 cup coconut milk
  • 1 cup strawberries
  • 1 tbsp almond butter
  • 1 tbsp flaxseed
  • 1 tsp maca
  • 1 tsp honey

 

Berry Cashew Breakfast Smoothie

  • 1 cup almond milk
  • 1 cup mixed berries
  • ¼ cup cashews
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1 tbsp maqui powder
  • 2 tsp beauty oil from Neal’s Yard (combination of flaxseed oil, hemp seed oil, avocado oil, evening primrose oil and pumpkin seed oil)
  • ½ tsp cinnamon

 

“Nutella” Protein Smoothie

  • 1 cup unsweetened hazelnut milk
  • 1 banana
  • 1 date (optional)
  • 1 scoop chocolate whey protein
  • 1-2 tsp unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ¼ tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp maca powder
  • ¼ – 1/3 cup oats
  • ½ tbsp hazelnut butter
  • dash sea salt

 

Apple Cinnamon Protein Shake

  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 scoop vanilla whey protein (or protein of choice)
  • 2 red apples
  • 1 tbsp almond butter
  • ¼ cup oats
  • 1 dried fig
  • 1 tsp maca powder
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp pumpkin spice
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

 

Cookie Dough Smoothie

  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 2 tbsp raw cocoa nibs / or I like to combine 1 tbsp cocoa nibs and 1 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1 tbsp almond butter
  • 1 tbsp lucuma powder
  • 1 tsp maca powder
  • 3 dates

 

Creamy Oatmeal in a Cup – This one wasn’t posted on instagram but it’s an all time favorite of ours. Great for breakfast or post-workout

  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder
  • 1/4 cup oats
  • 1/2 – 1 banana
  • 1 tbsp almond butter (optional)
  • 1 tsp honey (optional)
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon (optional)

 

Tropical Post-Gym Green Smoothie

  • 2 cups spinach or kale
  • 1 scoop whey protein (or protein of choice)
  • ½ cup unsweetened almond milk
  • ½ cup water or coconut water
  • ½ cup blueberries
  • ½ cup mango
  • 1 peach

Berry Kefir Smoothie

  • 1 cup Kefir Yoghurt
  • 1 cup mixed berries
  • 1 tbsp flaxseed
  • 1 tsp maca powder
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 1 tsp coconut oil (optional)
